At the EuroXR 2025, LUMINOUS once again made a strong contribution to Europe’s extended-reality research community by hosting a dedicated two-hour workshop titled “Next Generation Avatars in Real and Virtual Environments.” The session brought together researchers and practitioners to explore emerging approaches for creating more realistic, responsive, and intelligent avatars across physical and immersive settings, sparking lively discussion on future technical and societal challenges. Through this active engagement in the conference programme, LUMINOUS continued to strengthen its role within the European XR ecosystem and its mission to advance human-centred, AI-driven immersive technologies.
